What is a basename?

Name of the given product. Basename defines, which firmware could be loaded into the product. Formerly was used term NAME instead of Basename. Examples: SL-serpent, SX-serpent, AX-felix, etc.

If you get an OEM firmware, you will also get your own basename. This ensures, that your OEM firmware will not be loaded into other products.
