Braking and overvoltage
During braking, the controller recuperates and pushes energy to the battery. If the battery reaches the maximum voltage set using the /driver/limiter/ubmax
, the recuperation is limited.
If you do not want to lose braking power, you must not charge the battery to 100% of its capacity and leave some capacity for recuperation.
It is not possible to control brake proportionally without recuperation. The controller is not able to dissipate the energy in the form of heat, and the recuperation energy must be stored in the battery.
warning
- If you do not set the
ubmax
parameter, the controller will overcharge the battery and may damage it. - If the controller is also hard-coded overvoltage protection, which protects the controller from overvoltage.
