FALCON
FALCON is a public application for RC vehicles, available for all siliXcon motor controllers. Primarily designed for drones, RC cars, and other remotely controlled vehicles, FALCON provides a streamlined, user-friendly control system with flexible input configuration.
Highlights
- FALCON supports both servo PWM and analog throttle inputs with configurable signal conditioning.
- Multiple control modes are available: voltage, current (torque), voltage with freewheel, and speed closed loop.
- The application includes an emergency stop system with optional prop docking and position hold.
- A Quick-setup pad enables initial configuration without any software tools.
- Function presets allow quick selection of common use cases (aircraft, RC car, bidirectional control).
- Automatic driver re-initialization after errors supports critical applications like aerial vehicles.
warning
To enable FALCON, set the configured parameter to 1. Otherwise, the controller is disabled at the application level. This prevents accidental activation with an unidentified motor.
Main Functions
- Input configuration: Servo PWM capture and analog input with configurable signal conditioning chains.
- Control modes: Voltage, current, voltage with freewheel, and speed closed loop — independently configurable for forward, reverse, and brake.
- Combined brake and reverse: RC car braking system with automatic reverse activation.
- E-stop and docking: Emergency stop with ramp-down braking, optional position hold, and prop docking.
- Safety features: Configurable startup and runtime disarming.
- Automatic re-initialization: Automatic driver restart after errors.
- Sounds: Acoustic feedback for arming, disarming, and throttle errors.
- CAN communication: Periodic status messages and external VCU control over CAN bus.
