Ports

The BMS has two ports for current flow:

  • DSC (Discharge) port — Main port connected to the load (motor controller, inverter, etc.)
  • CHG (Charge) port — Port connected to the charger

Each port has its own current-sensing, voltage measurement, protection parameters, and per-port current limiter.

The port switching is managed by the state machine. Use the sw shell command to manually control the ports:

  • sw 0 — Turn OFF both ports
  • sw 1 — Turn ON both ports (the CHG port physically closes only when a charger is detected and charging is allowed by the state machine)
