Limiter
The limiter comprises a set of derating modules. Those are primarily intended for the protection of the external drivetrain units (other than the controller itself, such as motor and battery). On the contrary to high-priority protections, low-priority limiters are derating the torque-generating (Q-axis) current reference only.
info
All the limiters and protections are designed act proportionally in a natural feedback loop. The controller never 'cuts off', but finds a stable point at which the derated performance is matching the required criteria.
tip
- Limiter response time can be adjusted using the
gain
parameters. But in general, the response time is around 10ms. - Check the Limiter word to see what limiters are active.
